Lustrumweekend

To conclude the lustrum year, the lustrum weekend took place on November 8th, 9th, and 10th, with a large number of alumni and current members in attendance. The festivities kicked off on Friday evening with a friendly game of ‘Jeu de boules’ at Boules and Bites in Ede. It was a cozy gathering, with several alumni joining in the fun.

Saturday was the highlight of the weekend, held at the KSV Franciscus venue, which saw the biggest turnout, especially from alumni. The day began with a delicious lunch, followed by a series of games around Wageningen such as ‘Touwtrekken’, ‘human Chess’, and a music quiz. To warm up inbetween, we enjoyed some apple pie and drinks at H41.

The afternoon featured the reveal of the new board name, an exciting moment accompanied by blue drinks. Attendees worked in teams to spell out the name using letters, eventually unveiling “Blue Blaze” as the new name. The new logo was also introduced, adding to the excitement.

Next up was a fashion show, showcasing Tartlétos clothing and merchandise from the past 50 years. This brought back many fond memories and plenty of laughs. Dinner was a feast, plentiful and delicious, setting the stage for the evening party.

The party was amazing, with everyone dancing enthusiastically to fantastic music. It lasted until 2:00 AM, with many attendees—particularly the alumni—still not ready to stop, much to the amazement of newer members.

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday morning with workshops in pole dancing, ballroom dancing, frisbee, or survival running—naturally, after a thorough warm-up led by our running coach, Tonnie. These workshops were a great way to explore new sports. The event concluded with a lunch at Pallas’ clubhouse, featuring some delicious ‘broodjes knakworst’.

All in all, it was a highly successful weekend filled with nostalgia and new memories alike!
